DHAKA: Trading on the country’s two bourses is underway showing gain in share-price indices on Sunday amid hartal.
The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) general index rose over 14 points to stand at 4, 215 at 11:35 am on the first trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 25,071 with transaction at Tk 874 million.
Of the issues traded, 127 advanced, 66 declined and 36 remained unchanged.
MPETROLEUM topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 92 million having changed hands during the time.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8,189 by gaining over one point at 11:32am.
Out of the issues traded, 74 gained, 71 declined and 14 remained unchanged.
