DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 58 points to stand at 4,439 at the close on the fourth trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 196,510 with transaction at Tk 8,890 million. Of the issues traded, 215 advanced, 54 declined and 18 remained unchanged.
GP topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 415 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were UCBL, GENNEXT, UNITEDAIR, RNSPIN, MPETROLEUM, OLYMPIC, JAMUNAOIL, BEXIMCO and GOLDENSON.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8,715 by gaining over 142 points.
Out of the issues traded, 165 gained, 45 declined and 15 remained unchanged.
