DHAKA: Investors witnessed sharp fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday.
The key index of Dhaka Stocks Exchange shed over eight points to stand at 4,268 at the close on the fourth trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 131,937with transaction at Tk 5,803 million.
Of the issues traded, 110 advanced, 136 declined and 41 remained unchanged.
DELTALIFE topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 640 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were RNSPIN, ENVOYTEX, MPETROLEUM, GENNEXT PTL, CENTRALPHL, ORIONPHARM, BENGALWTL and MAKSONSPIN.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8,385 by dropping over 34 points.
Out of the issues traded, 54 gained, 147 declined and 17 remained unchanged.
