DHAKA: Investors witnessed sharp fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Thursday.
The key index of Dhaka Stocks Exchange (DSEX) shed over 36 points to stand at 4,228 at the close on the third trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 149,609 with transaction at Tk 3,743 million.
Of the issues traded, 66 advanced, 186 declined and 33 remained unchanged.
APOLOISPAT topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 710 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were GOLDENSON, GENNEXT, RNSPIN, BDBUILDING, PADMAOIL, DELTALIFE, PTL, ARGONDENIM and LANKABAFIN .
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8,308 by dropping over 84 points.
Out of the issues traded, 25 gained, 178 declined and 11 remained unchanged.
