DHAKA: Investors witnessed sharp fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Monday.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over 56 points to stand at 4,266 at the close on the second trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 91,634 with transaction at Tk 3,618 million.
Of the issues traded, 224 advanced, 51 declined and 23 remained unchanged.
GOLDENSON topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 224 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were BAYLEASING, APOLOISPAT, LANKABAFIN, FAMILYTEX, DELTALIFE, GENNEXT, NATLIFEINS, UCBL and ARGONDENIM.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8,382 by dropping over 112 points.
Out of the issues traded, 146 gained, 46 declined and 14 remained unchanged.
