DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Thursday.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over four points to stand at 4,753 at the close on the last trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 160,255 with transaction at Tk 8,569 million. Of the issues traded, 274 advanced, 89 declined and 32 remained unchanged.
MPETROLEUM topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 410 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were PADMAOIL, GENNEXT, TALLUSPIN, AAMRATECH, OLYMPIC, CONFIDCEM, KEYACOSMET, GP and SQURPHARMA. .
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 9376 by gaining over 43 points.
Out of the issues traded, 124 gained, 18 declined and 26 remained unchanged.
