DHAKA: Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) issued notices in seven public organizations asking to submit the statement of wealth of former Water Resources State Minister and current Member of Parliament Mahbubur Rahman on Sunday.
The ACC has sent notices at Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakka (RAJUK), DCC, BRTA, REHAB, Dhaka District Register, Dhaka Stock Exchange and GPO fixing a deadline of a week in this regard.
ACC high officials said that the notices were issued to get the query about his plots, flats, vehicles and so on. Several banks were being monitored by ACC as well to get to know about his liquid money, they added.
Deputy Director of ACC Khayrul Huda is in-charge to unveil the statement of his money.
Moreover, the ACC inspection team has already visited his constituency in Patuakhali area and found some clues for his alleged involvement in corruption.
The anti-grab body has already revealed the information about lands worth around Tk 1.27 crore and two contractor firms in the name of his wife.
According to the affidavit, five years ago he had only 20-acre land but he is now owner of 2865-acre land.
