DHAKA: Investors witnessed negligible gain in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Sunday.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 55 points to stand at 4,758 at the close on the first trading day of the week.
The volume of transactions stood Tk 167,553 million with 8,590 trade deals.
Of the issues traded, 161 advanced, 114 declined and 19 remained unchanged.
SQURPHARMA topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 365 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were OLYMPIC, PADMAOIL, ORIONPHARM, MPETROLEUM, UCBL, GP, LAFSURCEML, LANKABAFIN and TITASGAS.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8,038 by gaining over 105 points.
Out of the issues traded, 147 gained, 64 declined and 19 remained unchanged.
