DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 41 points to stand at 4,748 at the close on the fourth trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 129,192 with transaction at Tk 6,278 million. Of the issues traded, 208 advanced, 62 declined and 18 remained unchanged.
MPETROLEUM topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 347 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were LANKABAFIN, AAMRATECH, PADMAOIL, SUMITPOWER, SPPCL, TALLUSPIN, SQURPHARMA, JAMUNAOIL and UCBL.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 9,350 by gaining over 98 points.
Out of the issues traded, 149 gained, 61 declined and 24 remained unchanged.
