The state-run Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) has started selling essential commodities at subsidized prices countrywide today for the month of September.

As part of this initiative, rice, lentils, and edible oil will be sold at subsidised rates to around one crore family card holders.

TCB dealers, in cooperation with city corporations, district, and upazila administrations, will sell the commodities from their shops or designated structures on specific dates and times.

Each family cardholder will be able to purchase a maximum of two liters of edible oil at Tk 100 per liter, two kilograms of lentils at Tk 60 per kilogram, and five kilograms of rice at Tk 30 per kilogram.
