DHAKA: Both two bourses of the country witnessed mixed trend in share-price indices on Wednesday.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over one point to stand at 4,841 at the close on the fourth trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 127,511 with transaction at Tk 6,205 million. Of the issues traded, 110 advanced, 153 declined and 30 remained unchanged.
JAMUNAOIL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 232 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were MPETROLEUM, GENNEXT, SQURPHARMA, GP, BSCCL, PADMAOIL, APOLOISPAT, RENATA and LAFSURCEML.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 9,446 by gaining over eight points.
Out of the issues traded, 63 gained, 143 declined and 21 remained unchanged.
