DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Thursday.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 33 points to stand at 4,845 at the close on the last trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 142,246 with transaction at Tk 7704 million. Of the issues traded, 148 advanced, 118 declined and 28 remained unchanged.
SQURPHARMA topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 411 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were BSCCL, JAMUNAOIL, OLYMPIC, MPETROLEUM, GP, MERCANBANK, PADMAOIL, LANKABAFIN and CONFIDCEM.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 9,521 by gaining over 77 points.
Out of the issues traded, 91 gained, 109 declined and 29 remained unchanged.
