DHAKA: Investors witnessed sharp fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Tuesday.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over 34 points to stand at 4,763 at the close on the third trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 108,630 with transaction at Tk 4,905 million.
Of the issues traded, 60 advanced, 194 declined and 33 remained unchanged.
SQURPHARMA topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 350 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were AFCAGRO, BSCCL, GP, MPETROLEUM, OLYMPIC, ACTIVEFINE, PADMALIFE, JAMUNAOIL and PADMAOIL.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 9,358 by dropping over 73 points.
Out of the issues traded, 30 gained, 179 declined and 18 remained unchanged.
