DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 77 points to stand at 4,7549 at the close on the fourth trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 78,452 with transaction at Tk 3,826 million. Of the issues traded, 152 advanced, 104 declined and 28 remained unchanged.
    
SQURPHARMA topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 203 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were BSCCL, PRIMEBANK, GP, SOUTHEASTB, OLYMPIC, MPETROLEUM, GENNEXT, AFCAGRO and DELTALIFE.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 9,332 by gaining over 126 points.

Out of the issues traded, 170 gained, 31 declined and 16 remained unchanged.
