DHAKA: Investors witnessed negligible gain in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Thursday.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 11 points to stand at 4,761 at the close on the last trading day of the week.
The volume of transactions stood Tk3,998 million with 89462 trade deals.
Of the issues traded, 188 advanced, 78 declined and 24 remained unchanged.
OLYMPIC topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 208 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were SQURPHARMA, BSCCL, MPETROLEUM, LANKABAFIN, DELTALIFE, AFCAGRO, PADMAOIL, JAMUNAOIL and BENGALWTL.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 9,341 by gaining over eight points.
Out of the issues traded, 125 gained, 79 declined and 17 remained unchanged.
