DHAKA: Investors witnessed negligible gain in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Monday.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 24 points to stand at 4,751 at the close on the second trading day of the week.
The volume of transactions stood Tk 112,437 million with 5,273 trade deals.
Of the issues traded, 151 advanced, 98 declined and 42 remained unchanged.
OLYMPIC topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 371 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were SQURPHARMA, BSC, BSCCL, LANKABAFIN, SINGERBD, GENNEXT, MPETROLEUM, IDLC and MITHUNKNIT.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 9,351 by gaining over 78 points.
Out of the issues traded, 99 gained, 104 declined and 27 remained unchanged.
