DHAKA: Broadband Wireless Internet service provider (BWA operator) Banglalion has appointed Shafiqul Islam as its Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Syed Nasim, Manager of Media & PR of Banglalion confirmed the matter in a press release on Monday.

The news release said Shafiqul lslam joined at Banglalion on February 2 in 2014.

He has sixteen years of vast experience with different companies including Telco industry where he contributed to develop and implement right processes to bring effectiveness and efficiency to the business and at the same time improve the quality of services.

Prior to his joining in Banglalion, Shafiq worked as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in Augere Wireless Broadband Bangladesh Ltd. (Qubee) for three years.

He also served as Chief Technical Officer (CTO) in GrameenPhone Ltd during 2006-2008, contributing in improving customer satisfaction leading to company`s business growth.  

Banglalion is working hard to bring world’s latest broadband wireless internet technology called LTE (Long Term Evolution) known as 4G.
