DHAKA: Investors witnessed sharp fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Monday.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over 10 points to stand at 8,687 at the close on the second trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 106,967with transaction at Tk 5,054 million.
Of the issues traded, 104 advanced, 171 declined and 21 remained unchanged.
SQURPHARMA topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 419million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were BSCCL, GP, OLYMPIC, JAMUNAOIL, BSC 7 MPETROLEUM, HEIDELBCEM, PADMAOIL and UCBL.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 7,801 by dropping over zero point.
Out of the issues traded, 64 gained, 135 declined and 31 remained unchanged.
