DHAKA: The authorities concerned of state-run Sonali Bank took a decision to visit its 1,200 branches across the country after the bank vaults were looted in Kishoreganj and Bogra.
They also decided to appoint an experienced army official on contractual or permanent basis.
Besides, the highest body of the bank has a formed a five-member probe committee on Adamdighi vault loot incident.
The decisions came from a meeting of high-level officers of the bank at its Head Office at Motijheel in the city.
Managing Director Pradip Kumar Dutta, also chief executive of the bank, presided over the meeting.
Earlier, robbers looted Tk 32.50 lakh from a Sonali Bank branch in Bogra by digging a tunnel into the bank’s vault on Saturday night.
