DHAKA: Finance Minister AMA Muhith sought financial assistance from country’s leading business conglomerate Bashundhara Group, to meet the expenses of inaugural ceremony of upcoming T-20 World Cup Cricket.

The finance minister made the plea in a press conference after a meeting of cabinet committee on purchase on Sunday afternoon.  

Muhith said the government has already spent Tk 180 crore in refurbish and development works of Sylhet, Cox’s Bazar, Chittagong and Fatulla Stadium.

The government has fixed target to collect financial assistance Tk 100 crore in arranging the gala program of the cricket tournament.
