DHAKA: Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Engineer Khandker Mosharraf Hossain on Tuesday said the process of exporting manpower to the United Arab Emirates would begin soon.
He came up with the assertion in response to a supplementary question from AFM Bahauddin Nasim MP at the National Parliament.
The minister added that a high-level delegation of UAE would visit Bangladesh in the last week of this month.
Bangladesh would be able to export manpower again to UAE after a negotiation, the House was told.
Khandker Mosharraf further said UAE stopped taking people not only from Bangladesh but also from another six countries due to excessive expatriates.
The number of outsiders in their country is higher than the local population, he added but Bangladesh has a hope to export manpower again to UAE.
