DHAKA: Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed on Wednesday categorically said the government remains alert to face any crisis during upcoming Ramadan.
The ruling Awami League lawmaker came up with the assertion while talking to journalists after a meeting at his secretariat office in city.
The minister said Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) will import sugar, pulses, oil and dates so that businessmen could not increase price artificially.
Meanwhile, Tofail Ahmed assured that there will not be any crisis of daily essentials during Ramadan.
He also said total 174 trucks will distribute goods across the country.
