DHAKA: Investors witnessed sharp fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Sunday.
The DSE Board index shed over 44 points to stand at 4,591 at the close on the first trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 78,087 with transaction at Tk 2,925 million.
Of the issues traded, 92 advanced, 165 declined and 35 remained unchanged.
SQURPHARMA topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 158 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were PADMAOIL, LAFSURCEML, BSCCL, NTLTUBES, SOUTHEASTB, GP and MPETROLEUM.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8938 by dropping over 91 points.
Out of the issues traded, 52 gained, 138 declined and 25 remained unchanged.
