DHAKA: Bangladesh Security and Exchange Commission (BSEC), stock market regulatory body, has sought explanation from Dhaka Stock Exchange over technical error during transaction in the capital market for Sunday.
The regulatory body also asked to form a probe committee on the matter but did not give any time-limit to submit the report in this regard.
The BSEC executive director, and also commission spokesperson, M Saifur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
Saifur, after visiting the DSE office, said, “The error may be appeared due to login of all brokerage houses on the server at once, but an oral order was given to the DSE to submit a report on what specific reasons caused the errors.”
DSE general manager, and also acting managing director, ASM Khairuzzaman said, “The transaction remains shut temporarily due to networking problem, later BSEC officials visit the DSE and ask to submit a report for that reasons.”
