DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Thursday.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over eight points to stand at 4,702 at the close on the last trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 118,072 with transaction at Tk 6,736 million. Of the issues traded, 122 advanced, 141 declined and 33 remained unchanged.

GP topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 883 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were OLYMPIC, MPETROLEUM, HEIDELBCEM, LAFSURCEML, PADMAOIL, SOUTHEASTB, SQURPHARMA, RENATA and UCBL.
 
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 9,080 by gaining over 33 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 93 gained, 102 declined and 25 remained unchanged.
