Stocks end lower Sunday

DHAKA: Investors witnessed sharp fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Sunday.

The DSE board index shed over 39 points to stand at 4,519 at the close on the first trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 70,970with transaction at Tk 2,434 million.
    
 Of the issues traded, 120 advanced, 152 declined and 22 remained unchanged.

BSC topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 176 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were SQURPHARMA, PADMAOIL, EMERALDOIL, BSCCL, MPETROLEUM, NTLTUBES, BDBUILDING, GP and LAFSURCEML     .

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8802 by dropping over 37 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 69 gained, 112 declined and 35 remained unchanged.
