Bourses see fall Sunday

DHAKA: Investors witnessed sharp fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Sunday.

The DSE board index shed over 29 points to stand at 4,478 at the close on the first trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 80,518 with transaction at Tk 2,777 million.
    
Of the issues traded, 97 advanced, 165 declined and 32 remained unchanged.

EHL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 145 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were        LAFSURCEML, BSC, BSCCL, EMERALDOIL, NTLTUBES, SQURPHARMA, PADMAOIL, CENTRALPHL, and ATLASBANG.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8,689 by dropping over 83 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 57 gained, 137 declined and 21 remained unchanged.
