DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Monday.

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) board index rose over 13 points to stand at the close on the second trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 71,278 with transaction at Tk 2,872 million. Of the issues traded, 127 advanced, 129 declined and 33 remained unchanged.

LAFSURCEML topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 283 million having changed hands during the time.

The other turnover leaders were PADMAOIL, SQURPHARMA, NTLTUBES, BSC, FAMILYTEX, BSCCL, EMERALDOIL, ATLASBANG and BRACBANK.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8,704 by gaining over 14 points.

Out of the issues traded, 83 gained, 109 declined and 21 remained unchanged.
