DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Thursday.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 25 points to stand at 4,621 at the close on the last trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 92,763with transaction at Tk 5,180 million. Of the issues traded, 125 advanced, 139 declined and 31 remained unchanged.

PADMAOIL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 419 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were HEIDELBCEM, GP, LAFSURCEML, OLYMPIC, MPETROLEUM, SQURPHARMA, MERCANBANK, JAMUNAOIL and BSCCL.
 
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8,959 by gaining over 57 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 79 gained, 106 declined and 24 remained unchanged.
