DHAKA: Investors witnessed sharp fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Sunday.
The DSE board index shed over 32 points to stand at 4,588 at the close on the first trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 86,882 with transaction at Tk 4,613 million.
Of the issues traded, 83 advanced, 173 declined and 37 remained unchanged.
LAFSURCEML topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 457 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were HEIDELBCEM, GP, PADMAOIL, OLYMPIC, SQURPHARMA, MPETROLEUM, APEXFOOT, BSCCL and BSC.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8,924 by dropping over 34 points.
Out of the issues traded, 55 gained, 150 declined and 18 remained unchanged.
