DHAKA: The government has extended the contract tenure of Chairman and Commissioners of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) to four years from their joining date.

Ministry of Public Administration issued separate notifications regarding the matter on Thursday.

 According to the notification, Professor M Khayrul Hossain will hold the chairman post for four more years from May 15, 2014 or from joining date.

On the other hand, the agreement of four Commissioners, Professor M Helal Uddin Nizami, M Amjad Hossain, Arif Khan and M Abdus Salam Sikder was extended to May 02, 2014, April 30, 2018, May 29, 2014 and January 28, 2017 respectively.
