DHAKA: Investors witnessed sharp fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Sunday.
The DSE broad index shed over 19 points to stand at 4,573 at the close on the first trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 45,181 with transaction at Tk 2,242 million.
Of the issues traded, 68 advanced, 186 declined and 28 remained unchanged.
GP topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 224 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were LAFSURCEML, MPETROLEUM, HEIDELBCEM, PADMAOIL, OLYMPIC, RENATA, FAMILYTEX, BSC and JAMUNAOIL.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8,866 by dropping over 34 points.
Out of the issues traded, 56 gained, 124 declined and 20 remained unchanged.
