DHAKA: The report on fulfilling conditions for regaining Generalized System of Privilege (GSP) has been sent to United States.
Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed made the disclosure while talking to journalist at his secretariat office on Tuesday noon.
The US government imposed some conditions on Bangladeshi garment products to enter the US market.
Later, Bangladesh made some progress by fulfilling the terms and conditions of Generalized System of Privilege (GSP) in this sector.
Following the progresses, the report was sent to United States Trade Representative (USTR).
It mentioned that 67 inspectors were appointed for the factories and to supervise the working environment as well.
In 2013, the US government postponed the GSP facilities to Bangladesh. Besides, the country imposed some conditions to regain the GSP facilities.
