DHAKA: Country’s economic sector has shown a surprising stability despite recent political crisis.
Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr. Atiur Rahman came up with the observation on Tuesday while addressing the Bangladesh Bank Officer-Employee Honor-2012 giving ceremony as the chief guest at the auditorium of the bank in the capital.
Atiur Rahman said, “Despite of facing many obstacles, our economic base is becoming stronger day by day, the bank along with the government has kept important contribution in protecting the satiability.”
Due to open measures taken by the bank, political crisis caused no damage to the economic activities, he added.
At total of 16 officers and employees– 7 individually and 9 collectively– were given honour considering their professionalism, skill and honesty.
Bank deputy governors Abul Kashem, SK Sur Chudhury, and Naznin Sultana were also attend in the function.
