DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 34 points to stand at 4,692 at the close on the fourth trading day of the week.
The volume of transactions stood Tk 5,473 million 101,315 with trade deals.
Of the issues traded, 148 advanced, 122 declined and 26 remained unchanged.
GP topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 528 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were MPETROLEUM, OLYMPIC, LAFSURCEML, HEIDELBCEM, PADMAOIL, SQURPHARMA, SOUTHEASTB, JAMUNAOIL and UCBL.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 9,047 by gaining over 68 points.
Out of the issues traded, 100 gained, 92 declined and 24 remained unchanged.
