DHAKA: Bangladesh Bank (BB) recently requested elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) to detain the syndicate involved with Asia-E-banking, which deceived millions of educated youths giving lucrative fraudulent bank jobs offer.
BB in a written letter requested RAB to bring the frauds under the purview of law, learnt from BB sources.
A DGM of BB has written the request letter to Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) DG Mokhlesur Rahman.
It may be mentioned here that on last April 7, an investigative news item headlined ‘New type of fraudulence in the name of job’ was published. That news has the credit of saving millions of educated unemployed youths from becoming victims of deception.
In the letter sent by DGM Swapan Kumar Roy to RAB DG was told that there is no financial institution under the name of Asia-e-banking.
BB is investigating the matter. The fake organization is using the monograms of different banks including BB to earn money through fraudulent practice.
The syndicate in the name of appointing 950 officers of three grades- senior officer, junior officer and cash officer published advertisements in a job portal in the name of Asia-e-banking. The syndicate published seven b-kash numbers in the portal to send Taka 250 only as examination fee for the posts.
Had the unemployed job seekers could not be alerted by the Banglanews then about 95 thousand might be the victim of deception and the unholy syndicate would have earned a huge sum of money.
Had the ill-plan of the fraud syndicate could be implemented they would have earned an amount of Taka 2 crore 17 lakh. In true there is no such organization in the internet banking sector in the name of Asia-e-banking.
In the advertisement no address of the institution was mentioned. Only the address has been mentioned as Media Center, Uttara Model Town-1230. The institution had a website, but no address. A number mobile phone numbers were mentioned which were found switched off.
The domain information of Asia-e-banking address mentioned the name of one Debashish Das Dipu, Noagaon Thana Road.
