DHAKA: Asian Development Bank (ADB) is providing a loan aid of 25 crores US Dollars for the sake of the capital’s pure drinking water.
ADB is providing this loan assistance under the project of “Dhaka Environment Friendly Sustainable Water Supply.”
A deal was signed at the auditorium of Economic Relations Division at the capital’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar on Thursday.
The Secretary of Economic Relations Department M Mejbahuddin and Bangladesh Resident Mission Representative of ADB Kajusiko Higasi signed the deal.
The total cost is set for the project around Tk 67 crores and 49 lakhs US Dollars.
ADB has approved the loan with only 2% interest. The grace period is given five years and time period for return the money is 25 year.
