DHAKA: A delegation of World Bank Group’s member Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) arrived here on Friday night, said a WB release on Saturday.
The delegation led by MIGA executive vice president Keiko Honda will meet the high officials at government’s different level during their stay in Bangladesh till April 30.
MIGA has been financing on in the country’s several sectors, including power, manufacturing, telecommunications, and banking.
Recently, the Agency provided support to the Ashuganj South power plant. Honda is likely to discuss on the matter with the concern authorities.
The MIGA head, in a press release, said power and infrastructural development is necessary for the economic growth of Bangladesh.
MIGA would play key role in financing these sectors, he added.
