DHAKA: Investors witnessed sharp fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Sunday.
The DSE broad index shed over 36 points to stand at 4,666 at the close on the first trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 87,412 with transaction at Tk 4,338 million.
Of the issues traded, 98 advanced, 166 declined and 31 remained unchanged.
GP topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 246 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were MPETROLEUM, LAFSURCEML, OLYMPIC, SOUTHEASTB, HEIDELBCEM, PADMAOIL, PRIMEBANK, SQURPHARMA and MJLBD.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8,997 by dropping over 88 points.
Out of the issues traded, 67 gained, 137 declined and 13 remained unchanged.
