DHAKA: None would be allowed to establish any industrial factory in the capital, while the government would provide facilities to investors to setup factories outside Dhaka.
Finance Minister AMA Muhith came up with the assertion while addressing a pre-budget conference at NEC Hall Room at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital on Sunday.
Earlier Suranjit Sengupta, chairman of Standing Committee on Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs stated a comment regarding this.
Besides, the minister also said the incumbent government would emphasize district development in up-next budget. “Some fifty percent of the total budget might be declared for districts,” he said.
State Minister of Finance and Planning MA Mannan, chairman of Standing Committee on Ministry of water resources Ramesh Chandra Sen, chairman of Standing Committee on Ministry of Education Affairs Afsarul Amin, chairman of Standing Committee on Ministry of Industrial Affairs Monnujan Sufian, NBR Chairman Golam Hossain and Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr Atiur Rahman were among others present at the program.
