DHAKA: Investors witnessed sharp fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Sunday.
The DSE broad index shed over 62 points to stand at 4,504 at the close on the first trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 79,288 with transaction at Tk 3,299 million.
Of the issues traded, 84 advanced, 180 declined and 20 remained unchanged.
MPETROLEUM topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 175 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were GP, HEIDELBCEM, OLYMPIC, GOLDENSON, SQURPHARMA, LAFSURCEML, MATINSPINN, ORIONINFU and PADMAOIL.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8,669 by dropping over 101 points.
Out of the issues traded, 62 gained, 129 declined and 16 remained unchanged.
