DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 12 points to stand at 4,575 at the close on the fourth trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 98,020 with transaction at Tk 4,191 million. Of the issues traded, 175 advanced, 93 declined and 26 remained unchanged.
GP topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 455 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were APOLOISPAT, ACTIVEFINE, MPETROLEUM, GOLDENSON, SQURPHARMA, OLYMPIC, MATINSPINN, LAFSURCEML and HEIDELBCEM.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8,807 by gaining over 28 points.
Out of the issues traded, 119 gained, 74 declined and 31 remained unchanged.
