DHAKA: Investors witnessed sharp fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Thursday.
The DSE broad index shed over 40 points to stand at 4,416 at the close on the last trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 77606with transaction at Tk 3,053 million.
Of the issues traded, 76 advanced, 137 declined and 29 remained unchanged.
SQURPHARMA topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 169 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were GP, LAFSURCEML, MPETROLEUM, HWAWELLTEX, MATINSPINN, PADMAOIL, EHL, OLYMPIC and HEIDELBCEM.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8,508 by dropping over 60 points.
Out of the issues traded, 44 gained, 144 declined and 26 remained unchanged.
