DHAKA: A launching ceremony of Textile Technology Business Center (TTBC) will be held at the Netherlands Embassy in city’s Gulshan area on Monday.

Netherlands minister for foreign trade and development cooperation Lilianne Ploumen will inaugurate the TTBC as chief guest at 2:45pm on the day.

According to the organizers, the TTBC, the first of its kind in Bangladesh, will aim to assist the textile industry in adopting resource efficiency measures, including waste water and ground water management systems.

The TTBC was set up at the BGMEA (Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association) with support from the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and is part of the Partnership for Cleaner Textiles (PaCT) program, said the release.
