Basic Bank MD Fakhrul sacked

DHAKA: Managing Director of Basic Bank, one of the state-run banks in the country, Fakhrul Islam has been sacked on charge of massive irregularities and financial scam.

Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr Atiur Rahman signed the order on Sunday.

The order would be sent to the bank very soon, a competent source of the central bank confirmed the matter to banglanews.
