COX’S BAZAR: After 3-day halt, goods-laden trawlers from Myanmar started entering in Bangladesh through Teknaf border on Monday.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Teknaf port manager Abu Nur Khaled said the Myanmar trawlers didn’t anchored at Teknaf following tensed situation after Myanmar Border Guard Police (BGP) shot dead a member of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on May 28.

On May 30 BGP exchanged fire with BGB on Naikkhangchhari frontier near international pillar no-52 at Painchhari border after BGP denied handing over the body.

Nur-e-Alam, Customs officer of Teknaf sea port, said government lost Tk 35 lakh revenue per day for the halt.
