DHAKA: PRAN arranged a training programme for mango farmers at PRAN Agro Factory in Natore recently.
A press release signed by the Manager (Media) KM Zeaul Haque made the disclosure on Tuesday.
Md. Mahatabuddin Chief Operating Officer of PRAN Agro Business Ltd. Said, we arranged training program for mango farmers for every year. This year we have completed training about fifteen hundred mango farmers.
In this training session farmers learnt how to manage orchard, pest control and post harvest handling issues he added.
Md. Nurul Amin, additional director of agriculture department of Rajshahi region, Md. Rahomot Ullah, deputy director of Natore agriculture office, Dr. Md. Sofiqul Islam, chief scientific officer of Chapai Nawabgonj mango research institute, Dr. M. Sofiqul Alam, senior scientific officer of Rajshahi fruit research institute, Md. Sohail Hossain, divisional manager of Buyer crops science Limited, local prominent persons and Mango farmers were present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, some 78 thousand contractual farmers are working with PRAN. The company collects mango, tomato, rice, been, milk, olive, spice from their farmers at market price.
