DHAKA: Investors witnessed sharp fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday.
The DSE broad index shed over 17 points to stand at 4,401 at the close on the fourth trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 82,227with transaction at Tk 4,086 million.
Of the issues traded, 74 advanced, 201 declined and 22 remained unchanged.
GP topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 386 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were LAFSURCEML, BSRMSTEEL, MJLBD, MPETROLEUM, HEIDELBCEM, SQURPHARMA, MITHUNKNIT, DELTALIFE and BSCCL.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8,363 by dropping over 72 points.
Out of the issues traded, 46 gained, 151 declined and 24 remained unchanged.
