DHAKA: Trading on the country’s two bourses is underway showing upward trend in share-price indices on Wednesday.

The broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 18 points to stand at 4,420 at 11:40 am.

Trade deals stood at 28,662with transaction at Tk 1535 million.

Of the issues traded, 164 advanced, 56 declined and 28 remained unchanged.

LAFSURCEML topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 248 million having changed hands during the time.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8,435 by gaining over 75 points at 11:40am.

Out of the issues traded, 45 gained, 38 declined and 19 remained unchanged.
