DHAKA: The Bashundhara Convention Center had been turned into a hub of four thousands successful sellers of Bashundhara tissues and hygiene products on Friday.
Country’s leading business conglomerate Bashundhara Group had taken a trade scheme ranging from October 2013 to February 2014 to sell its tissue and hygiene products.
Under the scheme, four thousands sellers out of 50,000 across Dhaka city had been invited to a day-long ceremony on the occasion of the trade scheme closure at the Convention Center on the day..
The function featured songs, jokes, cultural program, foods and was full of different agendas.
Bashundhara Group senior deputy managing director Belayet Hossain, deputy managing director (DMD) Mostafizur Rahman, chief financial officer and development officer (CFDO) Tofail Hossain, Bashundhara tissue and hygiene products general manager Masuduzzaman, hygiene products manager Mizanur Rahman were, among others, attended the colorful program.
Under the scheme, sales targets had been fixed in different categories, which include separate sales of 4,800 metric tones tissue in five months, 60 lakhs pieces of baby diapers, 1 crore and 70 lakhs sanitary napkins and others.
Of the sellers, those achieved the sales target had been invited to the function. They were given price bond as the prize there.
Speaking at the function, DMD Mostafizur said “Bashundhara are manufacturing the products considering the customers’ demands; steps have been taken to increase manufacturing as demand is increasing day by day.”
Prior to the speaking, the DMD carefully listened to the sellers’ speeches.
CFDO Tofail said, “Bashundhara Group is a successful industry, you (the sellers) are the ambassador of the Bashundhara, the money will saty inside the country, if the domestic products are sold.”
“You (sellers) are the business partners of ours, we will always stay beside you,” he assured.
The day-long function was followed by a cultural program. Close UP-1 Mohin and Silvy performed there.
